Bianca Garofalo - Owner/General Manager
Owner and innovator of Bight Restaurant & Bar, Bianca Garofalo has been involved in the industry in Thunder Bay for over 10 years and was instrumental in bringing about this beautiful new waterfront business. After owning and operating a successful restaurant in the Port Arthur downtown core, Bianca moved on to invest herself in the new development at Prince Arthur’s Landing by orchestrating Bight’s creative space, dynamic menus and world-meets-community vision. Recently, Bianca was awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for her incredible effort in bringing Bight into being. Currently Bianca manages the day-to-day operations of the ever-changing atmosphere of the restaurant, the rich tapestry of functions that are hosted in Mariners Hall and the extensive roster of events in the community that Bight is proud to be part of.
Katrina Oostveen - Operations Manager
Katrina’s passion for all things culinary started at a young age in the family gardens and it was a natural fit that she would pursue a career in restaurant. She has been in the industry in many capacities for over 10 years, working her way up from busgirl and hostess, to serving, bartending, and managing. After completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science from Lakehead University she decided to pursue her true passions and returned to school at Confederation College in the Hospitality Management Program and graduated with honours. Katrina is always up for a challenge and when she’s not at the restaurant or travelling she can be found testing out new culinary ideas in her kitchen or racing sailboats on beautiful Lake Superior.
Allan Rebelo - Executive Chef
Executive Chef Allan Rebelo is an intrepid and talented young chef who was born and raised in Thunder Bay and who learned to love food at an early age through his rich Portuguese background. Allan began working locally in restaurants over 7 years ago and was an apt pupil who was quickly promoted according to his keen skill and was elevated to sous chef over 4 years ago. He has studied through the Culinary Program at George Brown College in Toronto but now mans the helm of our locavore inspired menu yet still manages to touch on international trends. He continues to create partnerships in our community to integrate the freshest, seasonal produce into our dishes and aspires to bring a holistic nose to tail mentality to our menu.

multi-purpose event space perfect for receptions, meetings, showers, private dinners and cocktail parties.
We can accommodate sit-down lunch or dinner functions for up to 45 people, and
cocktail events for up to 125 people.
